Here Are The Malls Open During Metro Manila’s Modified Enhanced Community Quarantie (MECQ)

While Manila is technically still under enhanced community quarantine, many of its biggest malls have slowly started opening their doors to the public.

We’re far from going back to the way things were, but it’s obvious that steps have been taken to ease the lockdown and regain a sense of normalcy. The first stage? Opening up malls for essential services and utilities. Here is a list of all the malls opening during MECQ.

SM Supermalls

The Philippines’ largest mall chain is opening its doors for “Safe Malling” starting 16 May 2020. Malls will be open from 11:00AM – 7:00PM, from Monday to Sunday unless otherwise stated. For the full list of open SM Malls nationwide, click here.

Megaworld Corporation is opening its malls, with new protocol. Dine-in is still not allowed and Wi-Fi will be disabled throughout the mall. Chapels and entertainment establishments will remain closed. Only those between the ages of 21 and 59 are allowed to enter the malls to please do bring proper identification. The mall has also recently announced its new “social distancing ambassadors” initiative. Security personnel will ensure that mall goers maintain 3-meter distancing from one another.

Resorts World Manila reopens alongside several international hospitality brands including Marriott Hotel, Sheraton Manila, Hilton Manila, Holiday Inn Express Manila, and Hotel Okura Manila.
