AYALA-LED ACEN Corp. said Monday that its retail electricity arm, ACEN RES, had partnered with local property developer Shang Properties Inc. to power the latter’s luxury development, The St. Francis Shangri-La Place.
In a disclosure, ACEN said that The St. Francis Shangri-La Place, one of the tallest residential towers in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City, would be using 100-percent renewable energy.
This will allow the building to avoid emissions of around 2,200 tons of CO2 annually, it added.
“This transition to renewable energy for our common areas aligns with our commitment to providing our residents with a sustainable and environmentally responsible living environment,” said Joseph Salting, head of Property Management Services at Shang Properties.
The St. Francis Shangri-La Place, which is managed by Shang Property Management Service, provides residents access to an integrated community that includes the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel and the Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
ACEN shares on Monday dipped by P0.05 to close at P2.55 apiece.
